About Us
The “Fund my Future” website is dedicated to encouraging individuals to enter or remain in career fields with critical personnel shortages in Arkansas. This website serves as a clearinghouse of educational & financial aid programs available to individuals who may be interested in serving in critical shortage career fields.

Background
The Fund My Future project was initiated and funded by the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation (www.wrfoundation.org) in 2005. Project development and operation is under the guidance of the Arkansas Student Loan Authority. The 2005 Planning Report (PDF) is available for review.

A project advisory committee with students and representatives from targeted academic programs and student financial aid offices provided information for the project. The Advisory Committee's original role included reviews and comments on drafts of the report as well as the design of the web portal. A list of committee representatives is available.

Our Mission
The Fund My Future project will make college education and student financial aid information accessible to all students majoring or considering majoring in nursing or education at Arkansas colleges and universities. Our Vision for Fund My Future is to provide every Arkansas student with access to complete, accurate and comprehensive information about critical-career shortages, the critical-career related college and university programs in Arkansas, and every state and national source of financial aid available to them.

The Fund My Future initiative and website will continue to expand and include developing critical need career fields as they are identified.
