ADHE's YOUniversal Scholarship Application
The Arkansas Department of Higher Education (ADHE) has a single-source online application process for all 21 financial aid programs it administers, called the YOUniversal Application. It must be completed to receive funding from the Arkansas state financial programs. In addition to the YOUniversal Application, all applicants must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The deadline for the YOUniversal application is June 1 for both fall and spring semesters for the upcoming academic year.

Smart Phone Application
The Department of Higher Education also has a free smart phone application –with customer service help available via text – for Arkansans to apply for state financial aid and check the status of their awards. The smart phone application allows students to complete the YOUniversal financial aid scholarship application from their iPhone, Android, or other device with a browser, as well as the capability to check their status and accept awards from their handheld.
